About Us

Wowzers (math, 3-8) creates learning experiences that kids love using games, simulations, and virtual quests (mobile and browser). Wowzers uses data to empower teachers to spend less time on busy work and more time teaching.

Management

Reed, Paige and Andrew Howard founded and manage Wowzers. Reed focuses on making the curriculum awesome. Andrew works on making the technology work together and getting people to buy it. Paige makes sure the rest of the company operates (and runs Brain Hurricane). Lead artist Dan Heit ensures everything looks great. Lead Programmer. Scott Doerfeld builds the technology that students see. Lead writer Jess Kuras makes sure that that content is pedagogically sound. Lead Web developer Sara Trice makes sure all the data goes to the right places.

Student View

The Wowzers experience begins and ends with the students. They are the reason we wanted to create this immersive math learning world. But, don't just take my word for it!

If you have 5 minutes, take a deep breath, pretend like you're a kid, and launch this Wowzers student intro. Your avatar will navigate the Wowzers ship and....wait, we're not going to give it away -- click and see for yourself!

Careers

At Wowzers we believe it takes creative people to create groundbreaking products. We invest in talented people that like to solve problems. Our team of 30 writers, artists, programmers, and sales team work out of an office in downtown Chicago. We occassionally have competitive kickball games with our friends from Brain Hurricane, our parent company, which is right across the street.

Does this sound like a good fit for you? If so, check out our list of available positions below!
